“I absolutely adore their fresh fruit wines, warm donuts, crisp apple cider, and fall activities. But don’t get me wrong… this is a perfect and beautiful stop year round! (PS. Make sure you try the Peach Spumante)”

“This botanical garden and outdoor sculpture park is a blessing to the Grand Rapids area. Such a peaceful place to enjoy and appreciate nature, art, and quietness outside of the city.”

Cherry Street

Cherry Street,

Grand Rapids, MI 49504

“Grand Rapids has so many darling downtown streets, but Cherry Street is my favorite. This strip is full of boutiques, good eats, brick roads, and surrounded by beautiful homes. A few of my favorites are – Maru Sushi, Greenwell, Le Bon Macaron, and Books and Mortar.”

Crescent Park

“This is a such a nice retreat in the middle of the city. It’s shaded by mature trees with ample seating on the side of a natural hill. Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, the Government buildings, Kendall Art College, GRCC, and Van Andel Institute are within eyesight but you can also hear birds sing and sit for a while in quiet. This is MY FAVORITE 15 minute brain break spot. If I’m feeling overwhelmed, rushed, or confused I just swing by and sit a while.”

Downtown Library

111 Library St NE,

Grand Rapids, MI 49503

(616) 988-5400

“As impressive as our Downtown Public Library Branch is from the outside, it’s is equally as interesting inside. There is a very clear original structure and addition section with impressive spaces in each side. The staircase has Insta-worth stonework and nooks all over. Free Wifi (hey-o) and coveted 1 hour parking for visitors. The library’s programming is expansive too (at no cost). They have computers for use, meeting rooms, small business resource center for all us entrepreneurs, live music, an entire floor dedicated to reference and resources and audiobooks, movies, magazines… I could go on.”

Indian Mounds

Indian Mounds Dr SW,

Grandville, MI 49418

“I discovered Indian Mounds by accident one day headed West on Market when I entered through the wrong way. This one way throughway from Grandville to Grand Rapids runs alongside I-196 at a 25mph pace, hugging the Grand River with multiple stop offs for geocaching or picnicking, and intersects with Kent Trails. It shares the road with bikers, joggers, walkers, and loads of wildlife. I often take it if I need a change of scenery in my everyday drive downtown.”

Downtown Market

1435 Ionia Ave SW,

“The Downtown Market has always been a favorite destination when enjoying time in Grand Rapids. The variety of vendors creates an environment to please everyone! You can most likely catch me drinking Madcap coffee, snacking on a Sweetie-Licious cookie, or scarfing down a delicious taco at Tacos El Cunado!”

Pedestrian Bridges

The Blue Bridge

“Since 1982 when this bridge was built, it has been an iconic piece of Grand Rapids! Beautiful photographs and legendary events have taken place on this bridge. Plus, it’s where both Molly and myself were proposed too. How could we not mention it as iheartGR fav?!”

Gillet Bridge

“The Gillet Bridge was built in 1915 making it older yet! Not only can you also take some stunning photos from this bridge, but it connects from city to park in just a short walk!”
